Brian Dean
Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental health and safety management from Ferris State University and his Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Prior to joining SECURA in 2026, Brian was an environmental health, safety, and risk program manager for 19 years. He is passionate about positively impacting the health and well-being of employees and driving growth and stability for the organizations he supports.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys attending his children’s sporting events, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Sam
Sam Parmley
Sam joined to SECURA in 2019 after spending time with Ahlstrom-Munksjo where he was a Health and Safety Intern. In this role, he focused on data analysis, improved training programs, and researched potential safety controls for the company. Prior to his internship with Ahlstrom-Munksjo, Sam also spent time as an intern with the Wisconsin Department of Administration/Bureau of State Risk Management where he created and improved safety compliance programs, analyzed injury data, led training, and conducted risk assessments.

Sam graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety. He holds the designation of Graduate Safety Practitioner.

In his free time, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors. He enjoys hiking, camping, and boating. Sam also likes to spend time with his family and his dog.
Sara
Sara Steinhiser
Sara Steinhiser is originally from Michigan City, Indiana and attended Indiana University.

Prior to joining SECURA in 2013, Sara was an independent loss control representative and performed field services in central and southern Indiana. She started her career in San Diego, California working as an environmental safety engineer for an international coatings manufacturer. During that time, she oversaw regulatory compliance and loss control for high volume production facilities, retail stores, and distribution centers in 21 states and three foreign countries.

Sara has earned the Associate in Risk Management and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist designations. She is providing risk management services to SECURA policyholders in the tri-state region of Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois.

In her free time, Sara enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
