Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation Notice to Employer of Injury Poster
The Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) requires Colorado employers to display the Notice to Employer of Injury posters at all times in a prominent place on the workplace premises. The poster informs employees that Colorado law requires employees to report a workplace injury within 10 working days, and benefits may be reduced by half if the injury results from the use of alcohol or drugs. This revised rule took effect Aug. 10, 2022.
Important information about the poster:
- The poster must be at least 14" high x 11" wide. Each letter must be at least one-half inch in height.
- The poster may be printed in sections on regular printer paper and taped together to meet the size requirements.
- The poster must be displayed at all times in a prominent place on the workplace premises.
- If Colorado policyholders fail to display the poster, the time period allotted to the employee for his or her injury is tolled for the duration of time that the employer fails to display the poster.
