SECURA Insurance will donate $25,000 to five nonprofit organizations through a #GivingTuesday contest designed to help independent agents support organizations within their local communities. Five participating agencies were selected at random to receive a $5,000 donation to a nonprofit of their choice. The online contest drew more than 311 entries from more than 48 agencies during the three week contest.
“SECURA not only supports nonprofits, we also provide insurance coverage that’s designed for the risks they face,” said Kevin Klestinski, Vice President–Specialty Lines Underwriting. “#SECURAgivesback is our way of saying thank you to our independent agents for the work they do to protect nonprofits, and we know many agents are active in supporting their communities. #GivingTuesday is a great way to give back and raise awareness of the incredible work nonprofits are doing in the communities we serve.”
The winning agencies and the nonprofits that will benefit include:
- Zimny Insurance Agency of Alexandria, Minnesota benefiting Andria Theatre
- AW Welt Ambrisco Insurance of Iowa City, Iowa benefiting The Birdhouse Hospice Home of Johnson County
- Green Owens Insurance of Franklin, Indiana benefiting KIC-IT
