In 1900, SECURA began as The Farmers Home Mutual
Hail, Tornado and Cyclone Insurance Company of
Seymour, Wisconsin. When our first office opened in the Julius Bubolz farmhouse, our policyholders were rural friends and neighbors who trusted us with their farms and their futures.
As our policyholders’ needs changed, so, too, did we. In 1932, we changed our name to Home Mutual Insurance Company and directed our marketing focus toward
additional rural markets and metropolitan areas.
In 1986, we changed our name to SECURA to better represent what we’re all about: security, strength, service, and stability.
NOW
Today, SECURA remains firmly committed to the farm market. In fact, we are among the largest providers of
farm insurance through independent agents in the Midwestern states that we serve.
Of course, farm operations are much different today. Technology has significantly impacted the farm sector,
as it has nearly every segment of society. Operations have become increasingly more sophisticated and business-oriented as fewer farms serve an expanding population.
SECURA has kept pace with the changes by offering
creative solutions to meet the needs of increasingly complex risks faced by today’s farmer. Our Farm Package, Farm Umbrella, and Farm Auto policies offer dependable, competitive protection, and we provide service with a personal touch. We’ve built a program founded on the philosophy that a strong, solid insurer is an integral part of the business plan for a successful farm operation.
We are proud of SECURA’s rich heritage and our long-standing tradition of superior service to independent
agents and SECURA policyholders. With our Core
Principles as our foundation, we’re solidly positioned to
help farmers meet the challenges of the future. |
